Description
The API 505-DI is a preamp and direct input designed to connect guitars, basses, and keyboards while preserving high-impedance pickup tone. Its Gain Control normalizes instrument levels to +4 dBu output, while dedicated Tone and Bright controls shape the signal without requiring additional EQ. The Load switch (100K/400K) adjusts pickup response, and a 20 dB Pad switch accommodates line-level sources, eliminating the need for a separate direct box.
