Description

Product details

Avalon AD2022 is a dual-mono, two-channel solid-state microphone preamplifier using Avalon's fully discrete, high-voltage symmetrical Pure Class A circuit design. Each channel includes microphone and high-Z instrument inputs, gain switching in 4 dB steps, +/-3 dB fine output trim, selectable microphone impedance loading, +48 V phantom power, polarity reverse, a -20 dB pre-transformer pad and a passive variable high-pass filter from 30 Hz to 185 Hz at 6 dB/octave. The mic input uses a custom low-ratio transformer with 50, 150, 600 and 1.5 kohm load selections, and the output stage is a high-current DC-coupled Class A amplifier rated to +36 dB output drive. Metering is via illuminated analog VU meters and peak LEDs. Vintage King lists MFR# AD2022 and 2U 19-inch rackmount format; Reverb identifies the common finish as silver, but no reviewed source verified a separate silver-finish MPN or GTIN.
