Avid Pro Tools | Sync X is a 1U rack-mount master clock and synchronization generator for audio post-production, designed to enable precise frame-edge alignment of audio timecode and video reference. The unit supports sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, and 192 kHz and provides clock reference through Word Clock (1 input, 6 outputs), Loop Sync I/O, AES3 (DB25), AES3id (1 BNC input and output), and a 10 MHz reference input. Video reference includes 1 BNC input, 2 BNC outputs, and 4 BNC outputs from the internal video reference generator with automatic NTSC, PAL, slow PAL, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, and 1080psf format detection. Positional reference includes LTC I/O on XLR, MIDI output, GPIO, Bi-Phase/Tach, and Pilot via a DB25 port. Measured long-term jitter is 72 ps with +/-1 ppm clock accuracy and +/-1 ppm drift across -20 to 70 degrees C. The front panel includes 2 OLED displays (256 x 64), 6 navigation buttons, an ID button, and 3 status LEDs.
