The BAE 1023L is a handwired preamp and DI featuring Carnhill transformers. It includes the same mic/line preamp circuit as the 1073 model but with an expanded EQ section offering additional frequency choices in the mid and high ranges. The broader frequency selection allows the mid bell curve to interact with the high and low shelves, enabling more detailed tonal shaping.
