It shares the mic and line preamp circuit of the BAE 1073 and adds the low pass filter of the BAE 1084 for a total of 28 selectable frequencies.

BAE 1028 Mic Pre/EQ Module is a handwired single-channel microphone preamplifier and equalizer module designed for Neve 10-series consoles or compatible BAE racks. It shares the mic and line preamp circuit of the BAE 1073 and adds the low pass filter of the BAE 1084 for a total of 28 selectable frequencies. The EQ provides +/-16 dB high and low shelving, +/-12 dB or +/-18 dB mid peaking, plus high pass and low pass filters. The module uses Carnhill (St Ives) transformers, Class A design, and offers 80 dB of gain with -110 dBu equivalent input noise. Frequency response is rated 10 Hz to -3 dB at 55 kHz, and maximum output level is +27.4 dBu into 600 ohms.
