Description
The Black Lion Audio Auteur 8DAT is an eight-channel microphone preamp in a 2U rackmount format featuring ADAT connectivity. Each channel offers independent phantom power, polarity reverse, a 10 dB pad, and switchable Hi-Z and line inputs, with DB25 send/return connections for external processors. The design combines an IC-based front end with Cinemag transformer coloration and includes macro-MMC clocking technology for stable synchronization. Balanced analog I/O and switchable inserts support tracking and processing of vocals, drums, instruments, and synths in studio or mobile settings.
