The Black Lion Audio Bluey is a limiting amplifier based on a modified 1176 Blue Stripe unit owned by mix engineer Chris Lord-Alge. Component unavailability led technicians to alter the circuit design, resulting in a distinctive unit favored for vocal recording. Black Lion Audio created this version following Lord-Alge's request for additional channels of the original modified compressor.
