Description
The Chandler Limited Germanium Pre Amp/DI is a microphone preamplifier and direct input device designed by Wade Goeke using germanium transistors in a fully transformer-balanced, all class A circuit. Germanium transistors provide smooth tonal characteristics historically used in classic Neve, EMI, and Telefunken designs. The unit operates at +40 volts with high current capability and delivers +34 dB of output before clipping, featuring custom-wound transformers combining Chandler's St Ives and Gardners transformer designs. Requires the Chandler Limited PSU-1 power supply, which supports both 120V and 220V operation.
