Description
The Earthquaker Devices Scrolls Bass Odyssey is an all-analog bass preamp, EQ, and drive unit developed with bassist Kentaro Nakao. Its drive section features tube amp-inspired overdrive with Blend, Drive, Bandwidth, Tone, and Level controls for preserving low-end clarity. The active EQ includes Bass, Middle, Treble, and sweepable Vari-Freq controls covering approximately 20 Hz to 10 kHz, while three tone switches provide Deep, Process, and Bright voicing options. Additional features include an effects loop between the drive and EQ stages, a balanced XLR direct output with analog filtering, and a buffered parallel output.
