Passive high-output humbucker wound to the exact specifications of the pickup in Eddie Van Halen's original Frankenstein guitar. Made in the USA by EVH (EVH Gear, distributed by Fender Musical Instruments), it measures 14.4 kOhm DC resistance with 9.4 Henries inductance and uses an Alnico 2 magnet. The coils are uncovered (open-coil, no cap) with a black finish. Built to standard humbucker size, it installs as a direct replacement for standard humbucking pickups on 6-string guitars; Thomann lists it as a bridge pickup, while Sweetwater and FU-Tone list it as bridge/neck compatible.
