GML 8302
GML 8302 Series II is a two-channel transformerless microphone preamplifier from George Massenburg Labs. The manufacturer states that the 8302 uses all-discrete bipolar transistor circuitry with no FETs, ICs or electrolytic capacitors in the signal path, and direct-coupled outputs with active DC servos.

Description
GML 8302 Series II is a two-channel transformerless microphone preamplifier from George Massenburg Labs. The manufacturer states that the 8302 uses all-discrete bipolar transistor circuitry with no FETs, ICs or electrolytic capacitors in the signal path, and direct-coupled outputs with active DC servos. Gain is front-panel selectable from 10 dB to 65 dB in 5 dB steps. Series II units add front-panel +48 V phantom power and phase reverse switches and use a redesigned lower-noise phantom supply. The spec sheet lists 1 kOhm balanced XLR input, 80 dB common-mode rejection at 100 Hz and 10 kHz, +12.4 dBv maximum input at minimum gain, +27.4 dBv output clipping, +24 dBv clip indication, 48 V phantom with 40 mA available, 1.75 x 19 x 10 in rack enclosure and external +/-28 V Model 8355 power supply with 5-pin XLR cable.
