Description
The Chromaplane is a polyphonic instrument developed by KOMA Elektronik and Passepartout Duo that uses two electromagnetic pickup coils moved across its surface to interact with ten analog square wave oscillators. Players can tune each field individually and control pitch across three rows with octave switches, while shaping tone through a 4-pole low pass filter with internal modulation and a lo-fi delay effect. The instrument accepts external audio input and provides envelope output for modulating other synthesizers.
