The Manley Labs Variable Mu is a tube-based limiter compressor that uses vacuum tube re-biasing to achieve gain reduction, employing a 5670 dual triode at its core. It offers a soft-knee compress mode with 1.5:1 ratio and a limit mode starting at 4:1 that transitions to 20:1 when reducing over 12dB. The unit features ganged stereo inputs with independent threshold and output controls, plus a link mode for stereo operation. This unit ships brand new and includes the T-Bar modification option.
