Description
The Action is a FET compressor featuring a 600-ohm input attenuator and input transformer that resists overload from hot signals. A gain-reduction FET processes the signal before buffering through a class A opamp and output stage with a custom output transformer. Maximum gain is 45dB, with attack and release ranges broader than comparable designs—extreme settings may introduce distortion. Stereo linking is available via edge connector pins or XLR cable on Purple Sweet Ten racks.
