Description
The Royer R-121/SS1 is a ribbon microphone featuring patented offset-ribbon technology that enables full frequency response at high sound pressure levels up to 160 dB. Designed for electric guitars, brass instruments, drums, and percussion, it also performs well on quieter sources like acoustic guitars and flutes. The offset-ribbon design allows the ribbon element greater flex while maintaining presence in the magnetic field, and flipping the microphone provides different tonal characteristics for versatile recording applications.
