The SCHOEPS ORTF Surround Outdoor Set Heated is a four-channel surround-ambience microphone system built around four CCM 41 L supercardioid compact microphones arranged in a rectangular ORTF Surround pattern. It ships as an outdoor plug-and-play package with the WSC ORTF Surround H windshield that integrates elastic suspensions, a fur cover, and internal heating to prevent condensation and icing during cold or wet outdoor use. Signal is carried over a multi-way Binder multicore cable to an AK Surround H splitter that also supplies the heating, and the components are stored in a waterproof MAX transport case.
