Description
The SSL E-Dyn is a 500-series dynamics module that reproduces the circuitry and sonic characteristics of the SL 4000 E console channel strip from the early 1980s. It combines a compressor/limiter with an expander/gate, both using discrete Class A VCA design and an RMS converter in the sidechain. The compressor offers switchable over-easy and hard-knee curves along with selectable logarithmic or linear release modes, providing three distinct tonal characters for various sources.
