The Sound Devices 888 is a 16-channel portable mixer-recorder featuring eight ultra low-noise 8-Series microphone preamplifiers and Dante connectivity for audio over Ethernet. It records up to 20 tracks across multiple media simultaneously, including SD cards and an internal 256GB SSD, and supports flexible powering via smart battery, NP-1 battery, or DC input. The unit includes a dedicated timecode generator with independent battery, three-band EQ, Dugan Automixing, coms and slate functionality, and integrates with USB control surfaces and the SD-Remote Android app for remote operation.
