Description
The SPL Iron v2 is a tube mastering compressor featuring redesigned side chain connectivity with XLR sockets and improved operation over the original model. It employs variable-bias tube limiting with specially matched 12AX7 and 12AU7 tubes, alongside balanced Lundahl transformers to deliver compression inspired by vintage radio-era designs. The dual-tube architecture automatically selects between sharp-cutoff tubes based on signal level, providing controlled, musical compression for mastering applications.
