The Telefunken M82 is a dynamic microphone featuring a large 35mm diaphragm and two independent onboard EQ switches—KICK EQ and HIGH BOOST—that work together to provide four distinct frequency response settings. The KICK EQ switch reduces lower midrange frequencies around 350Hz to prevent boxy character, while the HIGH BOOST switch lifts upper midrange and high frequencies starting at 2kHz for added presence and attack.
