Description
The Thermionic Culture Earlybird 4 is a four-channel microphone preamp housed in a 19-inch rack unit with hand-wired point-to-point construction. Each channel provides gain ranging from 3dB to 62dB with switchable input impedance to accommodate different microphones. The unit features class A valve amplification with custom Sowter input and output transformers, dual VU meters for monitoring signal levels across selectable channels, and red LED indicators that activate when output exceeds +10dBm with 20dB of headroom remaining. This is a brand new limited edition red version, produced in a run of 49 units.
