Vintage 1968 King-Vox Octavoice II – Rare First-Gen Analog Octave / Brass Model
Own a piece of the "Ampliphonic" revolution. This is a 1968 King-Vox Octavoice II, a pioneering analog octave divider designed by the Thomas Organ Company. Known for its distinct space-age aesthetic, this unit offers a variety of "instrument" voices that provide sub-octave and frequency-shaped tones unlike any modern pedal.
While originally intended for wind instruments, the Octavoice II has become a "secret weapon" for experimental guitarists and studio producers looking for the specific, lo-fi analog glitch of late-60s tech. It provides a thick, monophonic sub-octave that feels more like an organ than a modern shifter. This is a rare, high-condition survivor from the most innovative era of Vox/Thomas Organ production.
