Description
Like new with box, paperwork, and original packaging. Izzy and Markus knocked this out of the park. A sonic work of art - inside and out. Arbiter FF clone built with Ex Arbiter owned 1969 BC183 transistors. Absolutely brilliant tone. Best I‘ve ever played. Hendrix and EJ galore. Here’s what Reeves says:
The Facet FF is a close tonal copy of the 1969 silicon 'big round fuzz Jimmy Hendrix used, you know the blue one, it was a FUZZ that looked like a FACE'. The reason it sounds so close? well I'm lucky enough to have a box of BC183 transistors that were originally purchased by Arbiter Ltd in 1969. How do i know? there was a stock slip in the box saying so..
Along with this pedal you will receive a COA with a scan of that slip
Big fat and ballsy this is the fuzz that everyone knows the sound of ... huge bass, knarly fuzz and then in the flick of the guitars volume sparkling, dynamic cleans.
Controls are Fuzz, Vol and Trim. Fuzz and Vol are Pretty much self explanatory, but the trim has some hidden magic - This controls the pedals input resistance. Fully clockwise the control is out of the circuit, so as you turn the knob anti clockwise it will increase the input impedance and reduce the saturation at the output. This is useful for many reasons, such as playing high output pickups or running a wah pedal before the fuzz. It can also be used to take the edge off the saturation and help with clean-up from the guitar volume and fatness. it still does a great job still keeping its dynamics intact as you turn down your guitar volume.
Screen-printed using super glossy old school enamel ink.
I’m downsizing so this needs a new home. Ships fast via USPS Priority. Cheers!
