AMS Neve 1073 Mono Module is the hand-built, UK-manufactured reproduction of Rupert Neve's original 1970 1073 mic preamp and equaliser module, constructed on the original 10-series vertical format. The signal path uses discrete Class-A circuitry with exclusive Neve Marinair input transformers and the LO1166 gapped output transformer, providing transformer-balanced and earth-free inputs and outputs. The preamp section delivers +80 dB to +20 dB microphone gain in 5 dB steps on a 5 dB stepped Elma switch with rear Hi/Lo impedance selection (1.2 kohm or 300 ohm), and +20 dB to -10 dB line gain in 5 dB steps. The three-band inductor EQ comprises a fixed 12 kHz high shelf (+/-16 dB), a selectable low shelf at 35/60/110/220 Hz (+/-16 dB), a peaking mid band at 0.36/0.7/1.6/3.2/4.8/7.2 kHz (+/-18 dB, fixed Q), plus an 18 dB/octave high-pass filter at 50/80/160/300 Hz.
