Description
AMS Neve StarNet ADA16 is a 16 x 16 analogue line-level to Dante AD/DA converter for connecting studio line inputs and outputs to an audio-over-IP network. The manufacturer specifies conversion up to 192 kHz at up to 32-bit integer bandwidth, with A/D dynamic range greater than 119 dBFS and D/A dynamic range greater than 122 dBFS. Analogue I/O is provided on four DB-25 connectors using Tascam pinout, with selectable headroom of +18, +24 or +26 dBu. The unit includes primary and secondary Dante Ethernet ports for redundancy or switched operation, a separate communications Ethernet port, word-clock sync in/out, an OLED front display and tri-colour LED metering for all 16 inputs and outputs. The remote app can mute individual analogue outputs and apply global attenuation in 0.5 dB steps from 0 to -127.5 dB. Accessible sources did not expose GTIN data.
