The API 512V is a 500 Series preamp and DI offering 65 dB of gain with switchable 3:1 output transformer options, variable output control, phantom power, polarity switch, and a -20 dB pad. The front panel accepts both XLR and quarter-inch inputs, with rear mic access for flexibility in lunchbox or rack configurations. It features API's 2520 op-amp and proprietary transformers in a hand-assembled design.
