The API 535-LA is a standalone preamp and DI unit derived from API's console-based 325 booster cards. It features a balanced input, polarity switch, and 20dB input pad, with output gain adjustable from 6dB to 45dB via a three-position toggle. The unit uses discrete 2510 and 2520 op-amps and API transformers to process microphones, keyboards, and line-level sources with level control and tone shaping.
