Description
The AT5040 is a cardioid condenser microphone featuring a four-part rectangular element with four matched ultra-thin diaphragms that provide combined surface area twice that of a standard one-inch circular diaphragm. Designed for studio vocal recording, it offers a smooth top end with controlled sibilance and is also suitable for acoustic instruments including piano, guitar, strings, and saxophone. The microphone includes advanced internal shock mounting and comes with Audio-Technica's AT8480 shock mount. Each unit is hand-assembled and individually inspected.
