Description
The Buzz Audio DBC-20 is a studio compressor featuring a Class A discrete amplifier in balanced configuration with a custom radio steel laminated transformer coupled to a diode bridge element. It employs a progressive compression ratio that increases with deeper gain reduction, accommodating dynamic sources like vocals and complex percussive material. The unit offers six switched attack and release times plus an auto release mode, soft mode for partial peak retention, and a high-pass filter sidechain switch. A 15-LED bar graph meter displays gain reduction, with large pointer knobs for compression and output gain adjustment.
