The Placeholder is an analogue reverb pedal using BBDs, mixers, and VCAs to implement a Householder reverb algorithm across three delay lines. It produces both realistic room textures and unusual spatial effects, with an all-analogue signal path that incorporates inherent noise characteristics. The design balances algorithmic precision with the natural limitations of analogue circuitry.
