Description
The Groove Synthesis 3rd Wave is a 24-voice wavetable synthesizer with 4-part multitimbral capability. Each voice features three oscillators offering classic PPG-era wavetables, high-resolution complex wavetables, and analog-modeled waveforms, plus a built-in Wavemaker for creating up to 64 custom wavetables from audio sources. The instrument includes a Dave Rossum-designed 2140 analog low-pass filter with variable saturation and a secondary SEM-style state-variable filter, both runnable in series. Its modulation matrix provides 16 assignable slots and 27 sources across 114 destinations per part, with each of the four parts featuring independent panning, volume, and dedicated stereo outputs.
