The IGS AUDIO Alter 500 is a single-channel FET compressor in 500 standard format featuring a six-position ratio switch, Slam Mode, and Fast/Mid/Slow attack and release controls. It includes balanced input with low-noise op-amp circuitry, Carnhill transformer output, relay bypass switching, and a 20-point LED gain reduction display. This brand new unit combines discrete 990-based amplifier stages with stepped input and output controls.
