Description
The black Neumann TLM 170 R is a large-diaphragm condenser studio microphone with five selectable polar patterns: omni, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid, and figure-8. Neumann specifies 20 Hz–20 kHz response, 8 mV/Pa sensitivity, and up to 154 dB SPL with its preattenuation switch. The R setting permits remote pattern control from a compatible power supply; the microphone uses 48 V phantom power and a three-pin XLR output.
