Description
Neumann U 47 fet Collector's Edition is the large-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone sold under Neumann catalog number 006427, with wooden box, certificate and operating manual. Neumann's current U 47 fet i page describes the same reissued U 47 fet design as an exact reproduction of the 1972-1986 classic: a pressure-gradient cardioid microphone using a K 47 large-diaphragm capsule, FET electronics and a large output transformer. It provides rear-access pad and low-cut switches plus a 6 dB output attenuation switch near the XLR. Published specifications include 40 Hz-16 kHz frequency range, 8 mV/Pa sensitivity, 150 ohm rated impedance, 137 dB maximum SPL or 147 dB with preattenuation, 48 V phantom power, 710 g weight, 63 mm diameter and 160 mm length.
