Description
The Retro Instruments 500PRE is a three-tube preamp and DI module housed in a single-width 500 series format. It delivers up to 75 dB of gain and features tube-based limiting that gracefully saturates at +18 dBu, allowing operation from clean amplification through controlled overdrive. The unit uses three 12AT7 tubes, requires approximately 160 ma of power, and reaches full operation within a minute of warm-up.
