Description
The Royer R-122 MKII is a ribbon microphone featuring impedance matching circuitry that delivers condenser-like output levels, compatible with virtually any preamplifier. This model adds a switchable -15 dB pad positioned before the microphone's electronics to prevent distortion on high-output sources, and a bass-cut filter engaging at 100 Hz to reduce proximity effect. Both switches are recessed on the microphone's back and can be fully disengaged, leaving the circuitry untouched. Hand-wired construction and a Royer-designed toroidal transformer provide faster transient response than traditional ribbon microphones.
Seller notes: R-122 MKII is a recording and studio product.
