The Rupert Neve Designs 545 is a mono primary source enhancer designed for 500-Series racks that reduces feedback in live vocal and instrumental applications. Built on circuitry derived from the Portico 5045, it uses all-analog design with custom transformers to increase microphone signal headroom by up to 20dB before feedback occurs. The device senses active speech or singing and reduces gain during silence, minimizing feedback without digital processing or filtering that could compromise sound quality.
