Description
The Rupert Neve Designs Portico 517 combines a mic preamp based on the TEC Award-winning Portico 5017 with an instrument amplifier and integrated compressor. The mic preamp offers 66dB of gain, phantom power, polarity reverse, and a Silk circuit for tonal coloration, while the instrument section provides 30dB of gain, ground lift, variable phase, and a blend control for mixing direct and amplified signals. The opto-coupler compressor features a single threshold control with auto makeup gain and fixed 2:1 ratio, and the vari-phase control allows incremental phase adjustment for combining signals from the same source.
