Description
The SCHOEPS CCM 4 Lg is a compact small-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone that integrates capsule and amplifier in one miniature housing. In SCHOEPS naming, "L" denotes the detachable Lemo connector version and "g" the matte gray finish (nickel "ni" is the alternative); order number 121015 is the CCM 4 L, while 121016 is the CCM 4 K fixed-cable XLR-3M version. The cardioid pattern attenuates sound by 6 dB at 90 degrees and 20-30 dB at the rear, picking up 4.8 dB less diffuse sound than frontal sound. Frequency range is 40 Hz - 20,000 Hz, sensitivity 13 mV/Pa, equivalent noise 15 dB-A (24 dB CCIR), and signal-to-noise ratio 79 dB-A. Maximum SPL is 136 dB at 48 V phantom power and 128 dB at P12 (THD under 0.5%); an older CCM manual lists 132 dB. It runs on P48 (over 40 V) or P12 (over 10 V) phantom power, automatically switched, drawing 4 mA at P48. A fixed 20 Hz low-cut (-3 dB, 12 dB/octave) is built in; there is no switchable filter or pad. Output impedance is 90 ohms at 1 kHz (600-ohm minimum load), maximum output 2.6 V into 2 kOhms, common-mode rejection over 55 dB at 1 kHz, and it can drive cables longer than 400 m.
