The SM7dB is a dynamic microphone featuring a custom-designed built-in preamp that provides up to +28 dB of gain with selectable boost levels (+18 dB or +28 dB) or a bypass mode for original SM7B output. It operates with any XLR interface requiring +48V phantom power and maintains a frequency response of 50 to 20,000 Hz. The microphone delivers the warm tone characteristic of the SM7B and accommodates applications from loud sources to quiet vocals.
