Description
The Sonifex RB-ADDA2 is a 1U rack-mountable converter that handles both analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion for professional studios. It accepts balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA stereo analog inputs and outputs digital audio via AES/EBU, S/PDIF, or TOSLINK optical formats, with the reverse conversion also supported. The unit operates at sample rates up to 192kHz and features independent AES/EBU and Word Clock inputs, allowing the A/D and D/A sections to sync independently or to an external clock reference. Four operational modes—Master, Slave, Auto, and Auto Lock—provide flexibility for different studio setups.
