Description
The AnaMod AM660 is a single-channel 500 Series compressor and limiter that recreates the Fairchild 660 using AnaMod's analog modeling process, implemented entirely in the analog domain with no A/D or D/A conversion and no latency. It is a feedback compressor whose compression ratio is variable and level-dependent, from 1:1 to 20:1. Front-panel controls are Input Gain, Threshold, an eight-position Time Constant selector, and a hard-bypass (IN) switch, along with a VU meter that reads the actual amount of gain reduction in dB. The module installs in an API 500 Series or equivalent rack and draws about 127 mA when engaged.
